Who PlayStation Studios are

PlayStation Studios is the publishing label for Sony Interactive Entertainment’s own development teams. It covers Santa Monica Studio (God of War), Guerrilla Games (Horizon), Insomniac Games (Marvel’s Spider-Man, Ratchet & Clank), Naughty Dog (The Last of Us, Uncharted), Sucker Punch (Ghost of Tsushima), Housemarque (Returnal), Bend Studio (Days Gone) and Arrowhead’s Helldivers among others — studios whose games defined the PlayStation platform before any of them reached a PC.

Since 2020 Sony has run a deliberate PC porting programme: a title launches on PlayStation first, then arrives on PC some months or years later, usually as a definitive or complete edition that bundles the DLC released in between. That is why the PC catalogue reads like a greatest-hits list rather than a release schedule — you are buying the finished version of a game that has already had its console life.

What you actually get

Every PlayStation title on this page is a Steam key. You redeem it in the Steam client, the game lands in your library, and it stays there — a key is a permanent licence, not a rental or a subscription. Delivery is automatic: the key is on screen and in your inbox as soon as the payment completes, at any hour.

Some PlayStation PC releases ask you to link a PlayStation Network account the first time you play, particularly the online ones. A PSN account is free to create and the game tells you if it wants one. It does not change what you are buying here, and it is not something we can waive — it is Sony’s requirement, on their own games.

Availability by country

Sony licenses its PC catalogue country by country, and the differences are real rather than cosmetic. Some titles are sold almost everywhere, some are restricted to a handful of regions, and a few are withheld from markets where you might least expect it. The list on this page is already filtered to what can be sold and priced where you are — if a title you have seen elsewhere is not here, it is not available in your country rather than out of stock.

Prices follow the same rule. Every figure on this page is the price for your own country in your own currency, not a converted headline figure, so what you see is what you pay at checkout.

PlayStation sales and when they happen

PlayStation discounts on PC arrive in waves rather than continuously. In practice they cluster around the same points every year — the big seasonal Steam sales in summer and winter, the Black Friday and Cyber Monday window in late November, and publisher-led sales that a studio runs around an anniversary or a new release on another platform.

We do not publish a sale before it starts. Sale dates reach us through our distribution channel under embargo, and they are the publisher’s to announce, not ours. What we do instead is show a live countdown on this page the moment a PlayStation sale goes live, with the deepest discount in it and how many titles it covers, so the page is worth checking rather than worth guessing at. If nothing is counting down, there is genuinely no PlayStation sale running today.

Frequently asked questions

When is the next PlayStation sale?

We publish a sale only once it is live, because sale dates reach us under embargo from our distribution channel and are the publisher’s to announce. Historically PlayStation PC discounts cluster around the seasonal Steam sales in summer and winter, the Black Friday and Cyber Monday window in late November, and studio-led sales tied to an anniversary or a new release. When one starts, this page shows a countdown to the end of it, the deepest discount in the sale and how many titles it covers.

Are these official PlayStation keys?

Yes. Our game keys come through authorised distribution rather than from a marketplace of individual sellers, which is why the catalogue is limited to what the publisher licenses for your country. Each key is a standard Steam key that activates permanently on your own Steam account.

Will a PlayStation key work in my country?

The keys listed on this page will, because the list is filtered to what can be sold and priced where you are before you see it. Sony restricts several PC titles by region, so the same page shows a different set of games in different countries — that is expected rather than a fault.

Do I need a PlayStation Network account to play?

Some PlayStation PC titles ask you to link a free PSN account on first launch, particularly the online ones; others do not ask at all. The game tells you when it wants one. This is Sony’s requirement on their own titles and applies however and wherever you bought the game.

How quickly is the key delivered?

Immediately. The key appears on the confirmation screen and is emailed to you as soon as your payment clears, at any time of day. There is no manual step and nothing to wait for.

Are the PC versions the complete editions?

Usually. Sony brings a title to PC well after its console launch, and the PC release typically bundles the expansions and updates shipped in the meantime — which is why so much of this catalogue is labelled Complete, Definitive or Director’s Cut. The edition is named on each product page.
