The Last of Us Steam sale is the Last of Us Day promotion from Naughty Dog and PlayStation Studios: Part I is 50% off and Part II Remastered 33% off until 1 October 2026. Naughty Dog’s Last of Us Day post says the Steam and Epic Games Store discounts both run “through October 1 at 10am PDT”. When we opened the Steam sale page on 29 September it was titled “Celebrate The Last of Us Day with Part I and Part II Sale”. We also stock Part I ourselves: the Steam key for The Last of Us Part I and the Part I Deluxe Edition.

When does The Last of Us Steam sale end?
The Last of Us Steam sale ends on Thursday 1 October 2026 at 10:00 AM Pacific, which is 17:00 UTC. Steam’s own label only says “Offer ends October 1”, so the hour comes from Naughty Dog’s post. For readers in Europe the last useful moment is the evening of 1 October, and in Asia and Oceania it falls after midnight on 2 October.
Local equivalents of 17:00 UTC on Thursday 1 October 2026. North America and Europe are on summer time; Sydney only moves to daylight time on 4 October and Auckland has been on NZDT since 27 September.

The Last of Us Part I on PC: is $29.99 a good price?
The Last of Us Part I PC price is $59.99 at list and $29.99 during the sale, exactly half. That buys the complete campaign, the Left Behind prequel chapter and the PC quality-of-life features, in the 2022 remake that reached PC on 28 March 2023. Our own Part I product page showed 30 EUR when we opened it on 29 September, so at these prices our key and Steam’s sale sit almost level. We did not find a way to beat the Steam price and we are not going to pretend we did. What our page adds is a delivered Steam key, and the payment options if you would rather not use a card. It is marked region-restricted, so check your country before buying.
We did not pull price history for this post, so we cannot say whether 50% is the lowest Part I has ever been. It is the discount Naughty Dog itself advertises for Last of Us Day. If you would rather wait for another sale, our Steam sale dates for 2026 lists what is left of the year.
What the Deluxe Edition adds
On Steam the Part I Digital Deluxe Edition is a two-item bundle, the base game plus an upgrade pack, at $34.99 in the sale. The extra $5 buys six weapon skins (the Black Gold and Silver Filigree 9mm pistols, the Rubber Tactical and Sculpted Oak shotguns, and the Arctic White and Carbon Black bows), the Dither Punk filter, Speedrun Mode, and early unlocks of the Increased Crafting Speed and Increased Healing Speed skills, the 9mm reload and rifle clip upgrades and the Explosive Arrows modifier. None of it changes the story. If you want the extras, the Part I Deluxe Edition was 35 EUR in our store when we checked. If you only want to play, the standard edition is the better buy.
PC requirements
The Last of Us Part I PC system requirements as listed on the Steam store page on 29 September 2026. Both tiers need Windows 10 version 1909 or newer, 16 GB of RAM and 100 GB of storage; an SSD is recommended.
Minimum
Recommended
Processor
AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or Intel Core i7-4770K
AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel Core i7-8700
Graphics
Radeon RX 470 (4 GB), RX 6500 XT (4 GB), GTX 970 (4 GB) or GTX 1050 Ti (4 GB)
The PC version had a rocky launch in March 2023. The game guide on our Part I product page covers what went wrong and where the game stands now, and the PlayStation Blog’s PC feature rundown lists what the port supports, including AMD FSR 2.2 and Nvidia DLSS. Let the shaders finish compiling before your first session.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered at 33% off
The Last of Us Part II Remastered PC discount is 33%: $49.99 down to $33.49 on Steam. The game reached PC on 3 April 2025 and includes the roguelike No Return mode, the one Naughty Dog’s charity stream played for AbleGamers on 28 September. When we searched our catalogue on 29 September the game had a product page but no live offer (the page said out of stock). Since 1 October it has one: the Part II Remastered Steam key. For other PlayStation Studios games on PC that we do sell, see our PlayStation Studios PC games page.
“The Steam store API returned 2999 against 5999 for Part I and 3349 against 4999 for Part II Remastered, so the 50% and 33% on the store pages are the real final prices, not a display effect.”

Paying with Steam credit
The sale prices above are in dollars on a US-region Steam account. A $50 US Steam gift card covers Part I ($29.99) with $20 left over, and a $20 US Steam gift card tops up a wallet for the Deluxe Edition ($34.99) or Part II Remastered ($33.49). US cards only work on US-region wallets, so if your account uses another country, read how to change your Steam store country and currency first.
What happens after 1 October
