What common Robux amounts cost

Because Robux only come in packages, the cheapest way to reach an amount is often a mix of two or three. These are the cheapest combinations, and what the same number of Robux would be worth if you had earned them and cashed out.

DevEx rates: what Earned Robux are worth

The Developer Exchange (DevEx) is the only way to turn Robux into money, and it only accepts Robux you earned by selling something. Three rates apply, depending on when and from whom the Robux were earned.

Who can cash out

According to Roblox’s DevEx documentation, you need to:

  • be at least 13 years old;
  • have at least 30,000 Earned Robux in your account;
  • have a verified email address and an account on the DevEx portal;
  • have a W-9 (U.S. taxpayers) or W-8 (everyone else) tax form on file;
  • be in good standing with Roblox’s Terms of Use and Community Standards.

Only Robux you earned count. Bought Robux, gift card Robux, transfers, subscription grants and Robux from trading items you did not create cannot be cashed out. Roblox estimates about 10 business days to process a first request and about 5 for returning creators, plus the time your bank takes, and you can complete one request per calendar month.

How much Roblox takes from a sale

Players sometimes call it the Robux tax: the share of every sale that goes to Roblox, and for avatar items to the game where the sale happened.

Marketplace items priced above the floor

Avatar items sold in the Marketplace earn more the further their price sits above the floor for their type, from 30% up to 70% at six times the floor. Items sold inside a game always earn the base 30%, and the game gets 40%. Avatar-item earnings are held for 30 days. Source: Marketplace fees and commissions.

What we found checking the numbers

When we read Roblox’s Robux page on 17 September 2026 it listed nine packages, not the six that most price lists still show: Roblox has added 270, 1,500 and 3,625 Robux packages between the older ones. Each package on that page also carries the smaller amount the same price buys on other platforms, which is where the app column in our table comes from.

Opened from Poland, the same page priced everything in złoty — PLN 29.99 for 500 Robux, as the screenshot shows — rather than converting the dollar price. Roblox sets local prices per country, so outside the US treat the dollar figures here as a guide to package sizes, not to what your card will be charged.

The largest package is the best value by a distance: 24,000 Robux for $199.99 is 120 Robux per dollar, against about 100 for every package from 500 to 2,000 Robux. The smallest, 270 Robux for $2.99, is the worst at about 90 per dollar.

How this calculator works

Buying Robux

Roblox only sells fixed packages, so a flat “price per Robux” gives the wrong answer for most amounts. The calculator instead searches every combination of the nine packages for the cheapest one that reaches your amount, and for a budget it finds the most Robux you can buy without going over. When two combinations are within a cent or two of each other it shows the one with fewer packages. Sales tax, if you enter it, is added to the package price the way checkout adds it.

Cashing out with DevEx

Earned Robux are multiplied by the rate that applies to them and rounded to the cent. The three rates do not blend: Robux earned before 5 September 2025 pay $0.0035 however long you hold them, so enter each balance separately if you have more than one. Roblox reviews every request, and its dashboard figure is an estimate rather than a guarantee, so treat the result the same way.

Creator fees

The seller’s share is applied to the price and rounded down to a whole Robux. Roblox does not publish how it rounds, and an estimate should not promise a Robux that may not arrive. For Marketplace sales with a price floor entered, the share follows Roblox’s progressive table, drawn as a straight line between the multiples it publishes. Avatar-item earnings are held for 30 days before they can be spent; that timing is not modelled.

Buying Robux with a gift card

Digital gift cards from Roblox, Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Google Play and other brands

Roblox gift cards

Gift cards get the website amount

A Roblox gift card loads credit that buys the larger website packages, so a $10 card is worth 1,000 Robux rather than the app’s 800. We sell Roblox cards for the US, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, the UAE and more, delivered by email.

Frequently asked questions

How much is 1,000 Robux in US dollars?

1,000 Robux cost $9.99 before sales tax on the Roblox website, on a computer, or paid with gift card credit. In the mobile app the same $9.99 buys 800 Robux, so reaching 1,000 there takes 1 × 800 + 1 × 240 Robux packages: 1,040 Robux for $12.98. Going the other way, 1,000 Earned Robux cash out for $3.80 through DevEx at the standard rate.

How many Robux do you get for $10?

1,000 Robux on the website or with a $10 gift card (the $9.99 package), and 800 Robux in the app for the same money. Where sales tax is added at checkout, as in the US and Canada, a $10 card no longer covers the $9.99 package — enter your tax rate in the calculator to see what it buys instead.

How much is 100k Robux worth in real money?

It depends on which way the money moves. Buying 100,000 Robux on the website costs $839.94 (4 × 24,000 + 1 × 3,625 + 1 × 500 Robux, which gives 100,125). Cashing out 100,000 Earned Robux through DevEx pays $380.00 at the standard rate, $540.00 at the U.S. 18+ rate, or $350.00 for Robux earned before 5 September 2025.

What is the DevEx rate in 2026?

There are three. The standard rate is $0.0038 per Earned Robux ($3.80 per 1,000), in force since 5 September 2025. Since 8 June 2026, a higher $0.0054 applies to developer products, passes, subscriptions and private servers bought by age-verified U.S. players aged 18 and over, in games that meet Roblox's avatar requirements. Earned Robux from before 5 September 2025 still cash out at the old $0.0035, and Roblox pays those out first.

What is the minimum to cash out Robux?

30,000 Earned Robux, which is $114.00 at the standard rate. You also need to be at least 13, have a verified email address, a DevEx portal account and a U.S. tax form (W-9 for U.S. taxpayers, W-8 for everyone else) on file. A completed request can be made once per calendar month.

Can I cash out Robux I bought or got from a gift card?

No. Only Earned Robux qualify for DevEx: Robux from selling passes, developer products, subscriptions, private servers, avatar items and Creator Store assets, plus Creator Rewards. Robux you bought, redeemed from a gift card, received as a transfer, got from a monthly subscription grant or made by trading and reselling items you did not create are excluded.

Why does the Roblox app give fewer Robux than the website?

Since 26 November 2024, Roblox gives up to 25% more Robux for purchases on the website, on a computer and with gift cards than for the same price elsewhere. The “up to” matters: only the $4.99, $9.99 and $14.99 packages get the full 25%, and the gap narrows on bigger packages, down to 6.7% on the $199.99 one (24,000 against 22,500).

Do Roblox gift cards give the website amount of Robux?

Yes. A Roblox gift card loads its value as credit, and credit is spent on the website packages, so a gift card gets the larger website amount. Roblox confirmed this applies to gift cards bought before the change too.

How much does Roblox take from a game pass sale?

30%. The seller keeps 70% of the Robux price of passes, developer products, subscriptions and private servers. Avatar items work differently: the creator gets 30% at the price floor, rising to 70% for Marketplace sales priced well above it, and a game that sells the item gets another 40%. A 100 Robux pass therefore earns 70 Robux, worth $0.27 through DevEx.

Does Roblox Plus or Premium give bonus Robux?

Not any more. Roblox Plus replaced Premium for new members on 30 April 2026 at $4.99 a month, and the 10% purchase bonus that Premium members kept ended on 30 May 2026. Plus gives a 10% discount on in-game and avatar purchases instead, rising to 20% after three consecutive months. Roblox covers that discount, so sellers earn the same per sale.

How up to date is this calculator?

Every price, rate and revenue share was checked against Roblox's own pages on 17 September 2026, and they are listed under Sources at the bottom of the page. When Roblox changes a figure we update the calculator and add the change to the update history. Prices are U.S. list prices before tax; local-currency prices and time-limited promotions are not included.
