Fallout 76 Atoms Calculator: Atoms to USD, every pack price and Fallout 1st

This Fallout 76 Atoms calculator converts Atoms to US dollars and back, finds the cheapest mix of packs for any amount, budget or Atomic Shop item, and shows what the same Atoms cost through Fallout 1st. The short answer: there are 4 Atom packs, from 500 Atoms for $4.99 to 5,000 Atoms for $39.99 on PlayStation, Xbox and Steam; the Windows packs on the Microsoft Store PC cost 10% less; 100 Atoms cost between 80¢ and 99.8¢, so one Atom is roughly a cent; and a $12.99 month of Fallout 1st delivers 1,650 Atoms that would cost $19.96 in packs.

The Burning Springs Starter Bundle

$7.99 for 1,100 Atoms (800 + 300 bonus) plus the Ulysses Outfit & Headwear set and the Amm-O-Matic Ammo Collector Set: $2.00 less than the plain 1,100-Atom pack. One purchase per account — Microsoft lists it as Durable — so the calculator never adds it to a basket.

Listings: US PlayStation Store, Xbox (Microsoft’s catalogue).

Worked examples: the Level 50 boost, a Fallout 1st month and 10,000 Atoms

  1. The Level 50 Character Boost (1,500 Atoms)

    Cheapest: 3 × 500 for $14.97 (1,500 Atoms, 3 purchases). 1 × 1,100 + 1 × 500 costs $14.98 — a cent more — and leaves 100 spare. On the Microsoft Store PC the same three 500s are $13.47.

  2. Seeds & Soil Bundle with 600 Atoms in the wallet

    (600 is our example; the 1,900-Atom price is from Bethesda’s October 2026 Atomic Shop update.) You are 1,300 Atoms short. Cheapest: 3 × 500 for $14.97 (1,500 Atoms, 3 purchases); with fewer checkouts, 1 × 1,100 + 1 × 500 for $14.98 (1,600 Atoms, 2 purchases).

  3. A month of Fallout 1st, bought as packs

Fallout 1st delivers 1,650 Atoms a month. The cheapest packs that reach that are 4 × 500 for $19.96 (2,000 Atoms, 4 purchases) — $6.97 more than the $12.99 membership, which also includes Private Worlds, the Scrapbox and the Survival Tent. A year’s 19,800 Atoms cost $159.95 in packs against $99.99 for the 12-month membership.

  4. 3,000 Atoms: a stack of 500s, or two packs

    Strictly cheapest is 6 × 500 for $29.94 (3,000 Atoms, 6 purchases). 1 × 2,400 + 1 × 1,100 for $29.98 (3,500 Atoms, 2 purchases) is $0.04 more for 4 fewer checkouts.

  5. 10,000 Atoms

2 × 5,000 for $79.98 (10,000 Atoms, 2 purchases) — 80¢ per 100, or $71.98 on the Microsoft Store PC. Through Fallout 1st the same Atoms take 7 months and $90.93: cheaper, but spread over more than half a year.

  6. A $50 budget

    $50 buys 6,100 Atoms (1 × 5,000 + 1 × 1,100) on PlayStation, Xbox or Steam, and 6,600 Atoms (1 × 5,000 + 1 × 1,100 + 1 × 500) on the Microsoft Store PC — 500 more for the same money.

  7. What is a 5,000-Atom balance worth?

It cost between $39.99 (at the 5,000-pack rate) and $49.90 (at the 500-pack rate) to buy. That is a purchase cost, not a cash value, and the Atoms stay on the platform they were bought on. (5,000 is our example.)

What changes what Atoms cost you

  • The pack names count the bonus separately: “1000 (+100 Bonus)” is 1,100 Atoms, “2000 (+400 Bonus)” is 2,400 and “4000 (+1000 Bonus)” is 5,000. Every price per Atom on this page uses the full amount you receive.
  • Every bigger pack is cheaper per Atom — 99.8¢ (500), 90.8¢ (1,100), 83.3¢ (2,400), 80¢ (5,000) per 100 — so there is no trap pack. But two 500s ($9.98) undercut one 1,100 by a cent, and two 1,100s ($19.98) undercut the 2,400 by a cent. The calculator shows the strict cheapest basket and, beside it, a tidier one found by charging 25¢ per checkout in the search — an assumption we label, not a fee anyone charges.
  • The Microsoft Store PC sells the Windows version’s packs 10% cheaper ($4.99 → $4.49, $9.99 → $8.99, $19.99 → $17.99, $39.99 → $35.99). Steam charges the console prices. Atoms stay on the platform they were bought on, so the cheaper packs only help Microsoft Store PC players.
  • Counted as Atoms alone, Fallout 1st costs 78.7¢ per 100 month to month and 50.5¢ on the 12-month plan — both under the best pack (80¢). The Atoms arrive 1,650 at a time, the first on the day you join, and stay in your wallet if the membership ends.
  • The Burning Springs Starter Bundle ($7.99) holds 1,100 Atoms — the same as the $9.99 pack — plus the Ulysses Outfit & Headwear set and the Amm-O-Matic Ammo Collector Set. That is 20% off the Atoms with the items free, but it can be bought once.
  • Atomic Shop prices change weekly: Bethesda’s October 2026 update lists Halloween bundles at 30% off and daily deals at 50% off. Price the item you want with the “Shop item” mode, using the Atom price the shop shows you today.
  • Gift cards add store credit, not Atoms: an Xbox gift card tops up the Microsoft account balance (which pays for Xbox and Microsoft Store PC Atoms), and a Steam gift card tops up the Steam Wallet. You then buy the Atom pack with it.

How the Fallout 76 Atoms calculator works

Sourced figures
The 4 pack sizes come from Bethesda’s Buy Atoms page and the store titles. US prices come from the US PlayStation Store, checked to the cent against Microsoft’s US catalogue (Xbox and Windows) and Steam’s US store. Fallout 1st’s 1,650 Atoms a month and the per-platform wallet rule come from Bethesda’s Fallout 1st page; its US prices from the PlayStation and Xbox listings.
Atoms → USD: the cheapest basket
Packs come in fixed sizes, so “what does this cost” means “which packs reach at least this many Atoms for the least money”. The calculator runs an exact search over every combination of packs (an unbounded knapsack, not “biggest pack first”), in steps of 100 Atoms. On a tie it picks fewer purchases, then more Atoms.
USD → Atoms: the most for a budget
For a budget it finds the combination that gives the most Atoms without going over, and shows what is left and the biggest single pack you could buy instead.
Shop item and Fallout 1st
For an Atomic Shop item it subtracts the Atoms you already have, then prices only what is missing. Beside every answer it counts the Fallout 1st months that deliver the same Atoms (1,650 a month, the first on day one) and prices them at $12.99 a month, or with the $99.99 12-month membership when that is cheaper.
What we assume
Prices are US prices before sales tax, with no sale running; we did not reach a checkout. The “fewer checkouts” basket charges 25¢ per extra purchase inside the search only — a tidiness rule we chose, not a fee. The starter bundle is shown beside the packs but never added to a basket, because it can be bought only once. The Fallout 1st comparison counts the Atoms only; the membership’s other perks are not given a dollar value. Example amounts, balances and budgets are numbers we picked to show the maths.

What we checked on 25 October 2026, and what we could not

We read every price in this tool on 25 October 2026. Bethesda’s own Buy Atoms page lists four packs and links each one to Xbox, PlayStation, Steam and Windows, but shows no prices, so we opened every store. A search for “fallout 76 atoms” on the US PlayStation Store returned the four packs; each listing showed its US price and none was on sale.

We work from Poland, so to rule out local pricing we asked Microsoft’s store catalogue and Steam’s store API for the same packs with the market set to US. Xbox and Steam matched the PlayStation prices to the cent. The surprise was the Windows (PC) products Bethesda links from its own page: the same four packs at $4.49, $8.99, $17.99, $35.99, 10% lower, with no sale end date.

What else surprised us: the pack names undersell what you get (“1000 (+100 Bonus)” is 1,100 Atoms, “2000 (+400 Bonus)” is 2,400), two 500s undercut the 1,100 pack by a cent, and three 500s are the cheapest way to the 1,500-Atom Level 50 boost. And one month of Fallout 1st carries 1,650 Atoms that would cost $19.96 in packs — more than the membership.

Atomic Shop prices change every week. The item prices we quote — the 1,500-Atom boost and October’s Seeds & Soil Bundle at 1,900, Upstaged Bundle at 1,800, Well Rusted Bundle (Fallout 1st) at 1,500 — come from Bethesda’s own articles. What we did not check: prices outside the US, the Steam and Windows prices of Fallout 1st and the starter bundle, and Atoms earned in game. We did not buy anything.

Fallout 76 Atoms questions, answered

How much are Atoms in Fallout 76?

In the US, before sales tax, on PlayStation, Xbox and Steam: 500 Atoms for $4.99, 1,100 Atoms for $9.99, 2,400 Atoms for $19.99, 5,000 Atoms for $39.99. The Windows versions on the Microsoft Store PC are $4.49, $8.99, $17.99, $35.99. That is 99.8¢ to 80¢ per 100 Atoms, or about one cent per Atom. We read every price on 25 October 2026.

How much is 1,000 Atoms in USD?

$9.98 as 2 × 500. There is no 1,000-Atom pack: the “1000 (+100 Bonus)” pack delivers 1,100 for $9.99, one cent more for 100 extra Atoms, which is the better buy unless you need exactly 1,000. On the Microsoft Store PC, 1,000 Atoms cost $8.98.

What is the best value Atoms pack in Fallout 76?

The 5,000-Atom pack (“4000 (+1000 Bonus)”) at $39.99: 80¢ per 100 Atoms, or 125 Atoms per dollar — Bethesda’s own Atoms page labels it “Best value”. The 500 pack is the worst at 99.8¢, 24.8% more per Atom. Every bigger pack is cheaper per Atom than the one below it.

How many Atoms do you get with Fallout 1st?

1,650 Atoms every month of membership, the first instalment on the day you join (Bethesda’s Fallout 1st page). In the US the membership is $12.99 a month or $99.99 for 12 months on PlayStation and Xbox. Bought as packs, 1,650 Atoms cost $19.96 (4 × 500), and a year’s 19,800 Atoms cost $159.95.

Is Fallout 1st worth it just for the Atoms?

On price per Atom, yes: counted as Atoms alone, a monthly membership works out at 78.7¢ per 100 and the 12-month membership at 50.5¢, against 80¢ for the best pack. The catch is timing: the Atoms arrive 1,650 a month, so a 3,000-Atom purchase today still needs packs. Bethesda says Atoms you received stay in your wallet after the membership ends.

How much does the Level 50 Character Boost cost in real money?

Bethesda prices the boost at 1,500 Atoms. The cheapest way to buy exactly that is 3 × 500 for $14.97 on PlayStation, Xbox or Steam ($13.47 on the Microsoft Store PC); 1,100 + 500 costs a cent more and leaves 100 spare. One month of Fallout 1st ($12.99) also covers it, with 150 Atoms left over.

How many Atoms do you get for $10, $20, $50 or $100?

$10 buys 1,100 Atoms (1 × 1,100); $20 buys 2,400 Atoms (1 × 2,400); $50 buys 6,100 Atoms (1 × 5,000 + 1 × 1,100), or 6,600 Atoms on the Microsoft Store PC; $100 buys 12,400 Atoms (2 × 5,000 + 1 × 2,400), or 13,500 Atoms on the Microsoft Store PC. PlayStation, Xbox and Steam charge the same.

Why are Fallout 76 Atoms cheaper on the Microsoft Store PC?

Microsoft’s US catalogue lists the four Windows “(PC)” Atom packs at $4.49, $8.99, $17.99, $35.99 — 10% under the Xbox, PlayStation and Steam prices — as a standing list price, not a sale. Bethesda does not explain the gap. It only helps if you play the Microsoft Store PC version: Bethesda says Atoms are placed in a wallet on the platform they were bought on, so Windows Atoms do not reach Steam or a console.

Can you transfer Atoms between platforms in Fallout 76?

No. Bethesda’s Fallout 1st page says “Atoms are placed in a wallet on the platform they were purchased from originally” — Atoms bought on Steam work in the Steam version, and the same goes for PlayStation, Xbox and the Microsoft Store PC. Buy Atoms on the platform you play on.

Is the Burning Springs Starter Bundle worth it?

It costs $7.99 for 1,100 Atoms (800 + 300 bonus) plus the Ulysses Outfit & Headwear set and the Amm-O-Matic Ammo Collector Set — $2.00 less than the plain 1,100-Atom pack, so the Atoms are cheaper and the items come free. It is a one-time purchase: Microsoft lists it as Durable on Xbox. We found it on the US PlayStation Store and Xbox.
