Epic announced the offer and its 50-Credit steps on fortnite.com.

Worked examples: the Rocket Pass, 2,000, 6,000 and 10,000 Credits

  1. Rocket Pass Premium (1,000 Credits)

With packs: 2 × 500 for $9.98 (1,000 Credits, 2 purchases), or one 1,100 pack for $9.99 — a cent more, one checkout, and 100 Credits left over. On the Epic Games Store, an Exact Amount top-up of 1,000 is $8.99 — $1.00 under the 1,100 pack.

  2. The pass plus a 1,500-Credit item, with 650 already in the wallet

(The item price and balance are our example.) 1,000 + 1,500 = 2,500 Credits; you are 1,850 short. Packs only: 4 × 500 for $19.96 (2,000 Credits, 4 purchases); tidier: 2 × 1,100 for $19.98 (2,200 Credits, 2 purchases). On Epic with an Exact Amount top-up: an Exact Amount 1,850 for $15.99 (1,850 Credits, 1 purchase) — priced as one top-up for the lot; bought item by item, the game offers a top-up per item, which can cost a little more.

  3. 2,000 Credits

    Packs: 4 × 500 for $19.96 (2,000 Credits, 4 purchases) — four 500s undercut two 1,100s ($19.98) by $0.02. On Epic, an Exact Amount 2,000 for $17.49 (2,000 Credits, 1 purchase).

  4. 6,000 Credits: where packs and top-ups part ways

    Packs: 2 × 3,000 for $49.98 (6,000 Credits, 2 purchases); one 6,500 pack is $49.99. On Epic: 1 × 1,100 + an Exact Amount 4,900 for $46.48 (6,000 Credits, 2 purchases) — $3.50 less than the packs.

  5. 10,000 Credits

    Packs: 1 × 6,500 + 1 × 3,000 + 1 × 500 for $79.97 (10,000 Credits, 3 purchases), 80¢ per 100. On Epic: 1 × 6,500 + an Exact Amount 3,500 for $77.98 (10,000 Credits, 2 purchases).

  6. A $40 budget

    $40 buys 4,600 Credits in packs (1 × 3,000 + 1 × 1,100 + 1 × 500) with $0.03 unspent — Rocket Pass Premium and 3,600 Credits left for the Item Shop.

  7. What is a 3,000-Credit balance worth?

It would cost between $23.07 (at the 6,500-pack rate) and $29.94 (at the 500-pack rate) to buy. That is a purchase cost, not a cash value: Credits cannot be cashed out, and since trading was removed they cannot buy anything from other players either. (3,000 is our example.)

What changes what Rocket League Credits cost you

  • Every bigger pack is cheaper per Credit — 99.8¢ (500), 90.8¢ (1,100), 83.3¢ (3,000), 76.9¢ (6,500) — so no pack is a trap. The catch is the first step: two 500s ($9.98) beat the 1,100 pack for the 1,000-Credit Rocket Pass, and round amounts below 3,000 come out cheapest as stacks of 500s.
  • Exact Amount top-ups come in steps of 50, from 50 to 5,000, and the price does not rise with every step: 26 of them cost the same as the offer 50 smaller — 700, 1,000, 1,350, 1,600 and more. 3,050 costs the same $24.99 as 3,000.
  • Near the top, an Exact Amount top-up beats every pack per Credit: 5,000 for $36.99 is 74¢ per 100, against 76.9¢ for the 6,500 pack. You only get one when an item costs more than you have, so it is not a way to stock up.
  • Epic says Exact Amount reached Xbox, Nintendo, PC and mobile; PlayStation was not on its list. We read the top-up prices from Epic’s own catalogue only, so the calculator applies them to the Epic Games Store and nowhere else.
  • Purchased Credits stay on the platform you bought them on, even with linked accounts: Epic’s example is 1,000 Credits bought on the Epic Games Store showing as 0 on Xbox. Credits earned from the Rocket Pass are shared across every linked platform, and items bought with Credits follow you everywhere.
  • Rocket Pass Premium pays some of itself back: Epic says playing consistently through a full season can earn back up to 1,000 Credits — the price of the next pass, if you finish it.
  • Refunds: Epic lists Credits bought with real money, bundles that contain Credits, the Rocket Pass and its tiers as not eligible. Item Shop items bought with Credits can be returned within 30 days, with 3 return tickets for the lifetime of the account.
  • On the Epic Games Store, the 1,100-Credit pack’s page reads “Refund Type: Non-Refundable” and offers 20% back through Epic Rewards — credit towards a later Epic purchase, not extra Credits.
  • Season packs can carry Credits: the US PlayStation Store lists the Season 23 Veteran Pack at $4.99 with 500 Credits plus a car and items — the price of the 500 pack alone. Epic says Credits that come in a bundle stay on the platform where the bundle was bought, like any purchased Credits.
  • If you subscribed to Fortnite Crew after buying the season’s Rocket Pass, Epic grants 1,000 Credits once — only in that order.
  • Gift cards add store credit, not Credits: an Xbox gift card tops up the Microsoft account balance, and you then buy the pack with it.

How the Rocket League Credits calculator works

Sourced figures
The 4 pack sizes and their US prices come from Microsoft’s US catalogue for Xbox, checked to the cent against Epic’s US store API. The 100 Exact Amount prices come from the same Epic API; the 50-Credit step and the platforms come from Epic’s announcement. The Rocket Pass price (1,000), the earn-back (up to 1,000), and the wallet, refund and trading rules come from Epic’s Rocket League help centre.
Credits → USD: the cheapest basket
Packs come in fixed sizes, so “what does this cost” means “which packs reach at least this many Credits for the least money”. The calculator runs an exact search over every combination of packs (an unbounded knapsack, not “biggest pack first”), in steps of 100 Credits. On a tie it picks fewer purchases, then more Credits.
The Epic Games Store: packs plus one top-up
On Epic it also tries every split between packs and a single Exact Amount top-up of up to 5,000 Credits, rounded up to the next 50, and shows that basket when it is cheaper than packs alone.
USD → Credits and the shopping list
For a budget it finds the combination of packs that gives the most Credits without going over. For a shopping list it adds 1,000 for Rocket Pass Premium and the items you type, subtracts the Credits you already have, and prices only what is missing.
What we assume
Prices are US prices before sales tax, with no sale running; we did not reach a checkout. We assume the game offers the Exact Amount top-up at the catalogue price for the shortfall rounded up to 50, and only once per item — Epic describes it as topping up “to the exact amount needed for the item”, so the calculator never stacks two top-ups. For a shopping list it prices one top-up for the whole shortfall; buying the items one at a time, the game would offer a top-up per item, which can cost a few cents more. The “fewer checkouts” basket charges 25¢ per extra purchase inside the search only — a tidiness rule we chose, not a fee. Example amounts, balances and budgets are numbers we picked to show the maths.

What we checked on 23 October 2026, and what we could not

We read every price in this tool on 23 October 2026. We work from Poland, where the Epic Games Store shows Rocket League Credits in złoty, so we asked Microsoft’s store catalogue for the four Xbox Credits packs with the market set to US, and Epic’s own store API for the same packs with the country set to US. Both came back with the same four prices to the cent — 500 for $4.99, 1,100 for $9.99, 3,000 for $24.99, 6,500 for $49.99 — and the four are the only Credits packs on Epic’s public “DLC & Add-Ons” page.

What surprised us: Epic’s API also returned 100 Exact Amount offers, 50 to 5,000 Credits in steps of 50, which match the system Epic announced on fortnite.com. They are priced along the pack ladder rather than at a flat rate — 1,000 Credits for $8.99, 5,000 for $36.99 — so on PC the Rocket Pass costs $1.00 less than the 1,100 pack. The same API returned a handful of internal rows (marked “OLD”, “QA” and “DNU”, a $0 5,000 and an odd 13,500 at $49.99) that do not look like offers any player sees; we left them out.

On PlayStation we could not price Credits. A search of the US PlayStation Store for “rocket league credits” returned Rocket League’s season packs but no Credits packs — on PlayStation they are bought in the game, through Sony’s checkout. The search did turn up the Season 23 Veteran Pack: $4.99, with 500 Credits and a car and items in the box.

Epic’s help centre gave us the Rocket Pass price, the earn-back, the cross-platform wallet rule, the refund rules and the end of trading. What we did not check: Nintendo eShop and PlayStation prices, prices outside the US, Exact Amount prices on Xbox (Epic says the offer exists there; we only read Epic’s own catalogue), the price of Rocket Pass tier bundles (Epic says there are four options but does not list them) and individual Item Shop prices, which rotate every 24 to 48 hours — type the price the shop shows you. We did not buy anything.

Rocket League Credits questions, answered

How much are Rocket League Credits?

In the US, before sales tax: 500 Credits for $4.99, 1,100 Credits for $9.99, 3,000 Credits for $24.99, 6,500 Credits for $49.99. Microsoft’s US Xbox catalogue and Epic’s US store listed all 4 at these prices on 23 October 2026, and none was on sale. On the Epic Games Store there are also Exact Amount top-ups from 50 to 5,000 Credits.

How much is 1,000 Credits in Rocket League?

$9.98 in packs — 2 × 500. There is no 1,000 pack: the 1,100 pack is $9.99, one cent more for 100 extra. On the Epic Games Store, an Exact Amount top-up of 1,000 Credits is $8.99. 5,000 Credits cost $44.95 in packs (1 × 3,000 + 4 × 500) or $36.99 on Epic (an Exact Amount 5,000); 10,000 cost $79.97 (1 × 6,500 + 1 × 3,000 + 1 × 500).

How much does Rocket Pass Premium cost?

1,000 Credits — Epic’s Rocket Pass FAQ tells you to “Select Upgrade For 1000 Credits”. In dollars: $9.98 as 2 × 500, $9.99 as one 1,100 pack (with 100 left over), or $8.99 as an Exact Amount top-up on the Epic Games Store. Epic says a full season of play can earn back up to 1,000 Credits from the Premium track, and Fortnite Crew includes Rocket Pass Premium each season.

What is the best value Rocket League Credits pack?

The 6,500 pack at $49.99: 76.9¢ per 100 Credits, or 130 Credits per dollar. The 500 pack is the dearest at 99.8¢ — 29.8% more per Credit. Every bigger pack is cheaper per Credit, so none is a trap. On Epic, the largest Exact Amount top-up (5,000 for $36.99, 74¢ per 100) undercuts even the 6,500 pack — but you only get it when you are short for an item.

How many Rocket League Credits do you get for $5, $10, $20, $50 or $100?

$5 buys 500 Credits (1 × 500); $10 buys 1,100 Credits (1 × 1,100); $20 buys 2,200 Credits (2 × 1,100); $50 buys 6,500 Credits (1 × 6,500); $100 buys 13,000 Credits (2 × 6,500). That is the same on Xbox and the Epic Games Store at US prices.

What is the Rocket League Exact Amount offer?

Since 14 October 2025, when an item costs more Credits than you have, Epic offers to top you up by exactly the difference, in steps of 50. Epic announced it for Xbox, Nintendo, PC and mobile — not PlayStation. In Epic’s US catalogue the offers run from 50 Credits for $0.49 to 5,000 for $36.99; small top-ups cost about a cent per Credit, large ones less per Credit than any pack.

Are Rocket League Credits shared between platforms?

Only the ones you earn. Epic says purchased Credits are only available on the platform where you bought them and cannot be transferred — 1,000 Credits bought on the Epic Games Store show as 0 on Xbox — while Credits earned from the Rocket Pass are shared across every platform linked to your Epic Games account. Items bought with Credits are shared across linked platforms either way.

Can you get a refund on Rocket League Credits?

Not on the Credits themselves: Epic lists real-money purchases, bundles that contain Credits, the Rocket Pass, Rocket Pass tiers and Fortnite Crew as not eligible. What you buy with Credits in the Item Shop can be returned within 30 days through Epic Games Player Support, and each account has 3 return tickets for its lifetime.

Can you still trade Credits in Rocket League?

No. Epic’s help centre says player-to-player trading was removed from Rocket League in December 2023, and Credits can no longer be used to trade with other players. They buy Item Shop items (Featured, Daily and esports items), the Rocket Pass Premium upgrade and items built from Blueprints.
