Worked examples: the Battle Pass bundle, a lone Reliquary, the 5,700 pack and the Ultimate Edition

The Premium Battle Pass Bundle (1,000 Platinum)

Cheapest: 2 × 500 for $9.98 (1,000 Platinum, 2 purchases). The 1,000 pack is $9.99 — $0.01 more for the same Platinum in one checkout. Either way, the bundle is the cheap way into the three Premium Reliquaries: bought one by one they cost 1,500 Platinum.

Only the Weapons Reliquary (200 Platinum)

There is no 200-Platinum pack, so it costs 1 × 500 for $4.99 (500 Platinum, 1 purchase) and leaves 300 Platinum spare. The whole Premium Battle Pass Bundle is $4.99 more ($9.98), and Blizzard Support says it is no longer offered once you buy a single Reliquary — so if you might want the other two later, buy the bundle first.

5,000 Platinum: buy 5,700 instead

Strictly cheapest is 10 × 500 for $49.90 (5,000 Platinum, 10 purchases). One 5,700 pack is $49.99: $0.09 more for 700 extra Platinum and a single checkout. With the Rebel’s Cache still unbought: 1 × 2,800 + 3 × 500 + the Rebel’s Cache for $46.95 (5,100 Platinum, 5 purchases).

A 2,800-Platinum shop item with 650 in hand

(Price and balance are our example.) You are 2,150 Platinum short. Cheapest: 5 × 500 for $24.95 (2,500 Platinum, 5 purchases), or 1 × 2,800 for $24.99 (2,800 Platinum, 1 purchase). With the Rebel’s Cache still open it is $21.96 (3 × 500 + the Rebel’s Cache).

10,000 Platinum

Cheapest: 1 × 5,700 + 1 × 2,800 + 3 × 500 for $89.95 (10,000 Platinum, 5 purchases), or 1 × 5,700 + 1 × 2,800 + 1 × 1,000 + 1 × 500 for $89.96 (10,000 Platinum, 4 purchases). One 11,500 pack is $99.99 — $10.04 more for 1,500 more Platinum.

30,000 Platinum

Above 18,500 the best pack does the heavy lifting: 1 × 18,500 + 1 × 11,500 for $249.98 (30,000 Platinum, 2 purchases), 83.3¢ per 100.

A $20 or $25 budget

$20 buys 2,000 Platinum (2 × 1,000) — the Rebel’s Cache does not stretch it, because $6.99 for 800 leaves too little for a second pack to beat that. $25 buys 2,800 Platinum in one 2,800 pack — 40% more Platinum for $5 more.

Deluxe or Ultimate Edition?

The Lord of Hatred Ultimate Edition costs $30.00 more than the Deluxe on the US PlayStation Store and lists 3,000 Platinum. Bought in packs, that is 6 × 500 for $29.94 (3,000 Platinum, 6 purchases) or 1 × 2,800 + 1 × 500 for $29.98 (3,300 Platinum, 2 purchases). If you were going to buy that much Platinum anyway, the upgrade costs you next to nothing.

What is a 5,000-Platinum balance worth?

It cost between $40.54 (at the 18,500-pack rate) and $49.95 (at the 1,000-pack rate) to buy. That is a purchase cost, not a cash value: Platinum cannot be cashed out. (5,000 is our example.)

Before you buy: what changes what Platinum costs you

  1. The 1,000 pack (99.9¢ per 100) is the worst value on the menu — fractionally worse than the 500 pack (99.8¢). So a strict cheapest basket below 2,800 is a stack of 500s. The calculator shows that basket, and beside it a tidier one found by charging 25¢ per checkout in the search — an assumption we label, not a fee anyone charges.
  2. The bonus only starts at 2,800: the store titles split the bigger packs as 2,500 + 300, 5,000 + 700, 10,000 + 1,500, 15,000 + 3,500. Per 100 Platinum that is 89.3¢ (2,800), 87.7¢ (5,700), 86.9¢ (11,500), 81.1¢ (18,500).
  3. The Rebel’s Cache ($6.99 for 800 Platinum and five weapon cosmetics, 87.4¢ per 100) is cheaper per Platinum than the 500, 1,000, 2,800, 5,700 packs. Microsoft files it as Durable, so each account gets it once. Tick the box only if you have not bought it. Microsoft’s listing marks two of the five cosmetics as needing Vessel of Hatred.
  4. No pack is smaller than 500. A 200-Platinum Reliquary still costs $4.99, and the change sits in your balance.
  5. Buying a Reliquary on its own removes the 1,000-Platinum Premium Battle Pass Bundle for that season (Blizzard Support). If you might want all three, buy the bundle first.
  6. Platinum is shared. Blizzard Support says Platinum bought on Battle.net, Xbox or PlayStation can be spent on all three, and what you buy with it follows your linked Battle.net account — so buy where it is cheapest or where you already have store credit.
  7. On PC, Blizzard Support says Diablo IV charges your Battle.net account’s primary payment method or, if you have it, Battle.net Balance first. Balance loaded from a prepaid card can take up to three days to arrive, so load it before the day you need it.
  8. Gift cards add store credit, not Platinum: an Xbox gift card tops up the Microsoft account balance and a Blizzard card tops up Battle.net Balance, and you then buy the Platinum pack with it.

How the Diablo 4 Platinum calculator works

Sourced figures
The 6 pack sizes, their bonus split and US prices come from the US PlayStation Store listings, checked to the cent against Microsoft’s US catalogue. The Rebel’s Cache and the edition prices come from the same stores. The cross-platform rule and the Reliquary prices (200 / 500 / 800, or 1,000 for the bundle) come from Blizzard Support.
Platinum → USD: the cheapest basket
Packs come in fixed sizes, so “what does this cost” means “which packs reach at least this much Platinum for the least money”. The calculator runs an exact search over every combination of packs (an unbounded knapsack, not “biggest pack first”), in steps of 100 Platinum. On a tie it picks fewer purchases.
USD → Platinum: the most for a budget
For a budget it finds the combination that gives the most Platinum without going over, and shows what is left and the biggest single pack you could buy instead.
Shop item or Reliquary
For something in the shop it subtracts the Platinum you already have, then prices only what is missing.
What we assume
Prices are US prices before sales tax, with no sale running; we did not reach a checkout. The “fewer checkouts” basket charges 25¢ per extra purchase inside the search only — a tidiness rule we chose, not a fee. The PlayStation listing does not say the Rebel Platinum Pack is one-time; we follow Microsoft’s Durable label and count it at most once, and only when you tick that you have not bought it. Example amounts and budgets are numbers we picked to show the maths.

What we checked on 19 October 2026, and what we could not

We read every price in this tool on 19 October 2026. A search for “diablo iv platinum” on the US PlayStation Store returned the six Platinum packs (product codes ending PALLADIUM0000002 to …07), the Rebel Platinum Pack and the Lord of Hatred editions; we opened each listing. The titles spell out the bonus — “11500 Platinum: 10000 + 1500 Platinum Bonus” — and the data behind each page carries the base price in USD. None was on sale.

We work from Poland, so to rule out local pricing we asked Microsoft’s store catalogue for the same products with the market set to US. All six packs came back as Consumable products at the same prices to the cent. The bundle came back as “Rebel’s Cache Platinum Pack”, a Durable product — Microsoft’s label for something you buy once — at $6.99; the PlayStation listing names it “Rebel Platinum Pack” and lists the same 800 Platinum and five weapon cosmetics.

What surprised us: the 1,000 pack is the worst value on the menu (99.9¢ per 100, against 99.8¢ for the 500 pack), there is no pack smaller than 500 — so the 200-Platinum Weapons Reliquary still costs $4.99 — and the Ultimate Edition’s 3,000 Platinum is worth almost exactly its $30.00 premium over the Deluxe. The Ultimate’s store listings spell it “Platinuim”.

What we did not check: Battle.net shop prices for PC (working from Poland, we kept to the two stores whose US prices we could read directly), prices outside the US, and the Platinum price of individual cosmetics, which rotate in the in-game shop. We did not buy anything.

Diablo 4 Platinum questions, answered

How much is 1,000 Platinum in Diablo 4?

$9.99 for the 1,000 pack in the US, or $9.98 as 2 × 500 — $0.01 less for one more checkout. Valued at the best pack rate (the 18,500 pack), 1,000 Platinum cost $8.11.

How much are Diablo 4 Platinum packs?

In the US, before sales tax: 500 Platinum for $4.99, 1,000 Platinum for $9.99, 2,800 Platinum for $24.99, 5,700 Platinum for $49.99, 11,500 Platinum for $99.99, 18,500 Platinum for $149.99. Both the US PlayStation Store and Microsoft’s US catalogue listed all 6 at these prices on 19 October 2026, plus the Rebel’s Cache — 800 Platinum and five weapon cosmetics for $6.99 — which Microsoft sells as a one-time (Durable) purchase.

How much does the Diablo 4 Battle Pass cost in Platinum?

Blizzard Support lists the Premium Battle Pass Bundle at 1,000 Platinum: it unlocks the Weapons, Beasts and Armor Reliquaries, which cost 200, 500 and 800 Platinum on their own (1,500 together). The seasonal Reliquary is free. In US dollars the bundle costs $9.98 (2 × 500). Buy one Reliquary first and the bundle is no longer offered.

What is the best value Platinum pack in Diablo 4?

The 18,500 pack at $149.99: 81.1¢ per 100 Platinum, or 123.3 Platinum per dollar. The worst is the 1,000 pack at 99.9¢ — a shade worse than the 500 pack (99.8¢) and 23.2% more per Platinum than the best. The one-time Rebel’s Cache works out to 87.4¢ per 100.

How much is 5,000 or 10,000 Platinum?

5,000 Platinum cost $49.90 as 10 × 500 — but the 5,700 pack is $49.99, only $0.09 more for 700 extra Platinum in one checkout. 10,000 Platinum cost $89.95 (1 × 5,700 + 1 × 2,800 + 3 × 500), against $99.99 for one 11,500 pack.

How much Platinum do you get for $10, $25, $50 or $100?

$10 buys 1,000 Platinum (1 × 1,000); $25 buys 2,800 Platinum (1 × 2,800); $50 buys 5,700 Platinum (1 × 5,700); $100 buys 11,500 Platinum (1 × 11,500). The same on PlayStation and Xbox; the bigger packs include a bonus that the store titles spell out, such as 10,000 + 1,500 for the 11,500 pack.

Is the Rebel’s Cache worth it?

If you need around 800 Platinum — the Armor Reliquary costs exactly that — yes: the cache is $6.99 against $9.98 for the cheapest packs (2 × 500), and it adds five weapon cosmetics. Per 100 Platinum (87.4¢) it beats the 500, 1,000, 2,800, 5,700 packs. Microsoft sells it as a one-time purchase, so it only helps once.

Is Diablo 4 Platinum shared between PC, PlayStation and Xbox?

Yes. Blizzard Support says Platinum bought on Battle.net, Xbox and PlayStation is shared across all three, and items bought with it are available on every platform linked to the same Battle.net account. You can see your balance in the Battle.net app or in Battle.net Account Management. That makes it unusual: most console currencies are locked to the store they were bought in.

Is the Lord of Hatred Ultimate Edition worth it for the Platinum?

On the US PlayStation Store the Ultimate Edition was $89.99 and the Deluxe $59.99. The Ultimate lists 3,000 Platinum, which would cost $29.94 in packs (6 × 500), so the $30.00 difference is almost exactly the Platinum — the armor bundle, mount, back trophies and town portal skins come on top.

Platinum can be paid from store credit: on PC, Blizzard Support says Diablo IV uses your Battle.net Balance first when it covers the price, and on Xbox the Microsoft account balance pays.
