Season 5 Starter Pack, Advanced Pack and Battlefield Pro

Worked examples: the Battle Pass, two seasons, 1,000 and 10,000 BFC

  1. The premium Battle Pass (1,100 BFC)

1 × 1,100 for $9.99 (1,100 BFC, 1 purchase), or $8.99 with EA Play. There is a pack of exactly 1,100, so nothing is left over — the rare currency where the Battle Pass and a pack line up.

  2. Battle Pass with 600 BFC already in the balance

(600 is our example.) You are 500 BFC short. Cheapest: 1 × 500 for $4.99 (500 BFC, 1 purchase). The 500 pack is the worst value per coin, but when it is all you need it still beats paying $9.99 for 1,100.

  3. Two Battle Passes: skip the 2,400 pack

    2,200 BFC cost 2 × 1,100 for $19.98 (2,200 BFC, 2 purchases). One 2,400 pack is $19.99 — $0.01 more for 200 spare coins. Three passes: 1 × 2,400 + 2 × 500 for $29.97 (3,400 BFC, 3 purchases).

  4. 1,000 BFC: two 500s

Strictly cheapest is 2 × 500 for $9.98 (1,000 BFC, 2 purchases) — $0.01 under one 1,100 pack, which gives 100 more coins. For one cent, most people take the 1,100.

  5. 10,000 BFC

    Cheapest: 2 × 5,000 for $79.98 (10,000 BFC, 2 purchases), 80¢ per 100 — or $71.98 with EA Play. One 13,000 pack is $99.99: $20.01 more for 3,000 more coins.

  6. 20,000 BFC

    Above 13,000 the biggest pack does the heavy lifting: 1 × 13,000 + 1 × 5,000 + 4 × 500 for $159.94 (20,000 BFC, 6 purchases), 80¢ per 100. With fewer checkouts: 1 × 13,000 + 1 × 5,000 + 1 × 2,400 for $159.97 (20,400 BFC, 3 purchases).

  7. A $15 or $50 budget

    $15 buys 1,600 BFC (1 × 1,100 + 1 × 500) — or the Season 5 Advanced Pack at $14.99, which holds 1,100 BFC plus six items. $50 buys 6,100 BFC (1 × 5,000 + 1 × 1,100); with EA Play, 6,600 BFC (1 × 5,000 + 1 × 1,100 + 1 × 500).

  8. What is a 5,000-BFC balance worth?

It cost between $38.46 (at the 13,000-pack rate) and $49.90 (at the 500-pack rate) to buy. That is a purchase cost, not a cash value: Battlefield Coins cannot be cashed out. (5,000 is our example.)

Field notes: what changes what Battlefield Coins cost you

  • Every bigger pack is cheaper per coin — 99.8¢ (500), 90.8¢ (1,100), 83.3¢ (2,400), 80¢ (5,000), 76.9¢ (13,000) per 100 BFC — so there is no “trap” pack. But the steps are uneven: the jump from 500 to 1,100 saves 9% per coin, while 5,000 to 13,000 saves only 3.8%.
  • Two 1,100 packs ($19.98) undercut the 2,400 pack ($19.99) by a cent, and two 500s ($9.98) undercut one 1,100 by a cent. So the strict cheapest basket for an awkward amount can be a stack of 500s — 3,000 BFC is 6 × 500 for $29.94 (3,000 BFC, 6 purchases). The calculator shows that basket, and beside it a tidier one found by charging 25¢ per checkout in the search (here 1 × 2,400 + 1 × 1,100 for $29.98 (3,500 BFC, 2 purchases)) — an assumption we label, not a fee anyone charges.
  • EA Play takes 10% off every pack on both the US PlayStation Store and Xbox ($4.99 → $4.49, $9.99 → $8.99, $19.99 → $17.99, $39.99 → $35.99, $99.99 → $89.99). EA Help says the Battlefield Official Store applies the same 10% for members. At EA Play prices the 13,000 pack works out to 69.2¢ per 100.
  • The Season 5 Starter Pack costs the same $4.99 as the 500-BFC pack and holds the same 500 BFC plus four items. While it is on sale, it replaces one 500 pack for free; Microsoft sells it as a one-time (Durable) purchase.
  • The Season 5 Advanced Pack ($14.99) holds 1,100 BFC — the listing calls it “enough to purchase the Battle Pass” — plus six items. That is $5.00 more than the plain 1,100 pack, so you are paying $5.00 for the skin and weapon packages.
  • Battlefield Pro ($24.99, $22.49 with EA Play) cannot be bought with BFC — EA Help says it must be bought with real money. If you already bought the Battle Pass with coins and then upgrade, EA refunds the 1,100 BFC, so buying the pass first costs you nothing.
  • BFC are sold “for Battlefield™ 6 and REDSEC”: the same coins work in the free-to-play REDSEC mode. EA Help does not say whether coins bought on PlayStation or Xbox follow you to another platform, so buy them on the platform you play on. Its Official Store article says web-store purchases are available across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
  • Gift cards add store credit, not BFC: an Xbox gift card tops up the Microsoft account balance, and you then buy the BFC pack with it.

How the Battlefield 6 Coins calculator works

Sourced figures
The 5 pack sizes and their US list and EA Play prices come from the US PlayStation Store listings, checked to the cent against Microsoft’s US catalogue. The Season 5 offers come from the same stores. The Battle Pass price (1,100 BFC), the Pro refund and the Official Store’s EA Play discount come from EA Help.
BFC → USD: the cheapest basket
Packs come in fixed sizes, so “what does this cost” means “which packs reach at least this many coins for the least money”. The calculator runs an exact search over every combination of packs (an unbounded knapsack, not “biggest pack first”), in steps of 100 BFC. On a tie it picks fewer purchases, then more coins.
USD → BFC: the most for a budget
For a budget it finds the combination that gives the most coins without going over, and shows what is left and the biggest single pack you could buy instead.
Battle Pass or store item
For something in the store it subtracts the coins you already have, then prices only what is missing. The EA Play switch swaps every pack for its member price before the search runs.
What we assume
Prices are US prices before sales tax, with no sale running; we did not reach a checkout. The “fewer checkouts” basket charges 25¢ per extra purchase inside the search only — a tidiness rule we chose, not a fee. The Season 5 bundles are shown beside the packs but never added to a basket, because each can be bought only once and only while the season’s store runs. Example amounts, balances and budgets are numbers we picked to show the maths.

What we checked on 20 October 2026, and what we could not

We read every price in this tool on 20 October 2026. A search for “battlefield 6 bfc” on the US PlayStation Store returned the five Battlefield Coins packs for Battlefield 6 and REDSEC; we opened each listing. Each one shows the list price and a second “Save 10% with EA Play” price, and none was on sale. The 1,100 pack’s product code ends in 1000BFC00, but its title, description and artwork all say 1,100.

We work from Poland, so to rule out local pricing we asked Microsoft’s store catalogue for the same five products with the market set to US. They came back as Consumable products at the same list prices and the same EA Play prices to the cent. The Season 5 Starter Pack, Advanced Pack and Battlefield Pro came back as Durable products — bought once — with a sale window ending 18 January 2027.

What surprised us: the Battle Pass and a pack line up exactly at 1,100 BFC, which almost never happens with in-game currencies; two 1,100s undercut the 2,400 pack by one cent; and the Season 5 Starter Pack costs the same as the plain 500-coin pack while adding four items.

What we did not check: prices on the EA app or Steam for PC (both show local prices from here), the Battlefield Official Store’s web prices, prices outside the US, and the BFC price of individual store bundles, which rotate. We did not buy anything.

Battlefield Coins questions, answered

How much is 1,100 Battlefield Coins in USD?

$9.99 in the US before sales tax, or $8.99 with EA Play — the same on the PlayStation Store and Xbox. 1,100 BFC is exactly what the Battlefield 6 premium Battle Pass costs, so one pack buys it with nothing left over.

How much does the Battlefield 6 Battle Pass cost?

The premium Battle Pass is bought with Battlefield Coins: EA Help says upgrading to Battlefield Pro refunds “1100 Battlefield Coins from the cost of the Battle Pass”, so it costs 1,100 BFC — $9.99 as 1 × 1,100, or $8.99 with EA Play. Battlefield Pro (the pass plus 25 tier skips and Pro-only rewards) is $24.99 in cash and cannot be bought with BFC.

How much are Battlefield 6 coin packs?

In the US, before sales tax: 500 BFC for $4.99 ($4.49 with EA Play), 1,100 BFC for $9.99 ($8.99 with EA Play), 2,400 BFC for $19.99 ($17.99 with EA Play), 5,000 BFC for $39.99 ($35.99 with EA Play), 13,000 BFC for $99.99 ($89.99 with EA Play). Both the US PlayStation Store and Microsoft’s US catalogue listed all 5 at these prices on 20 October 2026.

What is the best value Battlefield Coins pack?

The 13,000 pack at $99.99: 76.9¢ per 100 BFC, or 130 BFC per dollar (69.2¢ with EA Play). The worst is the 500 pack at 99.8¢, 29.8% more per coin. Every bigger pack is cheaper per coin than the one below it.

How much is 1,000, 5,000 or 10,000 BFC?

1,000 BFC cost $9.98 as 2 × 500 — a cent less than one 1,100 pack ($9.99), which gives 100 more. 5,000 BFC cost $39.99 (1 × 5,000), and 10,000 BFC $79.98 (2 × 5,000) against $99.99 for one 13,000 pack.

How many Battlefield Coins do you get for $10, $20, $50 or $100?

$10 buys 1,100 BFC (1 × 1,100), or 1,100 BFC with EA Play; $20 buys 2,400 BFC (1 × 2,400), or 2,400 BFC with EA Play; $50 buys 6,100 BFC (1 × 5,000 + 1 × 1,100), or 6,600 BFC with EA Play; $100 buys 13,000 BFC (1 × 13,000), or 14,100 BFC with EA Play. The same on PlayStation and Xbox.

Do EA Play members get a discount on Battlefield Coins?

Yes — 10% off every pack. The US PlayStation Store labels it “Save 10% with EA Play” and Microsoft’s catalogue lists the same member prices, from $4.49 for 500 to $89.99 for 13,000. EA Help says the Battlefield Official Store applies the 10% too. On the 1,100-BFC Battle Pass that saves $1.00.

Are the Season 5 Starter and Advanced Packs worth it?

The Season 5 Starter Pack is $4.99 for 500 BFC plus four items — the same price as the plain 500-BFC pack, so the items are free. The Season 5 Advanced Pack is $14.99 for 1,100 BFC plus six items, $5.00 more than the plain 1,100 pack. Microsoft lists both as one-time purchases on sale until 18 January 2027.

Are Battlefield Coins shared between Battlefield 6 and REDSEC?

Yes: every pack is sold as BFC “for Battlefield™ 6 and REDSEC”, and EA Help says the free Battle Pass is open to owners of either. Whether coins bought on PlayStation or Xbox carry over to another platform is not stated by EA, so buy them on the platform you play on. EA does say items bought on the Battlefield Official Store are available across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

What is a 2,400 BFC pack worth against two 1,100 packs?

Two 1,100 packs cost $19.98 for 2,200 BFC — enough for two Battle Passes — while one 2,400 pack costs $19.99 for 2,400 BFC. A cent more buys 200 spare coins, so the 2,400 pack is the better buy unless you only ever spend in 1,100s. Valued at the best rate, 2,400 BFC are worth $18.46.
