The Stellar Blade Switch 2 release date is Thursday 5 November 2026 at 07:00 PST / 15:00 GMT. That is midnight on 6 November in Japan and Korea, and the launch is simultaneous worldwide. Only one version is coming to Switch 2: Stellar Blade Complete Edition, at $59.99 / £54.99 / €59.99 digital or physical. That is the price of the base game alone on Steam. On the PlayStation Store the same Complete Edition costs $89.99. So for the first time, the cheapest way to own everything in Stellar Blade is on a Nintendo console.

Everything here comes from SHIFT UP’s release-date announcement and the US Nintendo Store listing, with PS5 and PC prices read from Sony’s and Valve’s stores the same day. If you already play on PC, we sell Stellar Blade Complete Edition as a Steam key and the standard Stellar Blade PC key. For the Switch 2 download, a $50 Nintendo eShop card plus a $10 card covers the $59.99 price.

Unusually for a Switch release, this one has a confirmed clock time. Most Nintendo eShop games unlock at midnight in each region, which is why Nintendo’s own pages only show a date: 5 November in the US and 05/11/2026 in the UK. SHIFT UP has instead set a single worldwide moment, 6 November at 00:00 KST/JST. That moment falls on the afternoon of 5 November in Europe and the morning of 5 November in the Americas. The free Bayonetta outfits arrive at the same moment, on all three platforms.

Pre-order bonus and when you pay

  1. Pre-order on the eShop or at a retailer
Pre-orders opened with the announcement on 10 September 2026. When we opened the US Nintendo Store listing on 10 October, it was still pre-orderable at $59.99, with no discount.
  2. Collect the pre-order bonus
Pre-ordering unlocks three cosmetics for EVE early: the Planet Diving Suit (White Edition), Classic Round Glasses and Ear Armor Earrings. Note the word “early”: SHIFT UP calls it an early unlock, not an exclusive.
  3. Expect the charge a week before launch
Nintendo’s UK store says pre-orders are charged automatically from 7 days before release, so from around 29 October. Load your eShop balance before then if you pay with gift cards, or the pre-order can be cancelled for lack of funds.
  4. Or buy the SteelBook edition
A Limited Edition SteelBook with new key art is sold through participating retailers and Panax, in limited quantities. It is a physical-only extra; the game inside is the same Complete Edition.

Stellar Blade Switch 2 price vs PS5 and PC

Every way to buy Stellar Blade with all its DLC, US pricing checked on 10 October 2026. DLC prices are from the PlayStation Store.
RoutePriceWhat you get
Switch 2 Complete Edition$59.99Game + both collaboration DLCs + Complete Edition bonuses
Steam Complete Edition$79.99The same content on PC
Steam base game + Twin Expansion Pack$59.99 + DLCBase game, then the two DLCs bought separately
PS5 Complete Edition$89.99The same content on PS5, PS5 Pro Enhanced
PS5 base game + both DLCs one by one$69.99 + $9.99 + $9.99 = $89.97NieR:Automata and NIKKE collaborations bought separately
PS5 base game + Twin Expansion Pack$69.99 + $17.99 = $87.98Both collaborations in one pack, without the Complete Edition extras

The gap is real, not a sale: none of the three stores had a discount running when we checked. The PS5 version launched in April 2024 at full price, and the PC version followed in June 2025. The Switch 2 version is priced as a late port, at the level the other two platforms charge for the base game alone. If you own a Switch 2 and none of the other platforms, the decision is easy. If you already own Stellar Blade on PS5, see the FAQ below: there is no announced discount or save transfer for owners.

What the Complete Edition includes

  • Stellar Blade, the full game.
  • Stellar Blade x NieR:Automata DLC ($9.99 on its own on PS5).
  • Stellar Blade x GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE DLC ($9.99 on its own on PS5).
  • The Stargazer outfit set for EVE, Adam and Lily.
  • Half-Rim Glasses, Quadruple Rectangle Earring and the Planet Diving Suit (Captain) for EVE.
  • Stargazer and Fluffy Bear packs for the Drone.
  • 2,000 SP EXP and 5,000 Gold.

That list is from SHIFT UP’s announcement, and it matches the Complete Edition contents we list on our own PC product page. Nintendo’s listing adds one useful caveat: some included content only becomes available after you progress through the main story. Don’t expect every outfit in the menu the moment you start.

The free Bayonetta outfits

“EVE will receive four new couture outfits inspired by Bayonetta.”

— SHIFT UP, release-date announcement, 10 September 2026

All four are free, they arrive at the same 15:00 GMT moment on 5 November, and they come to Switch 2, PS5 and PC alike. They are not a Switch exclusive and not a reason to choose one platform over another. Three were shown in the September trailer; the fourth was still unrevealed when we checked.

Stellar Blade Switch 2 FAQs

When does Stellar Blade come out on Switch 2?
Stellar Blade Complete Edition releases on Nintendo Switch 2 on 5 November 2026 at 07:00 PST / 15:00 GMT, which is 00:00 on 6 November in Japan and Korea. It is a simultaneous worldwide release.
How much is Stellar Blade on Switch 2?
$59.99, £54.99 or €59.99 for the Complete Edition, digital or physical. It is the only version on Switch 2. The same Complete Edition is $89.99 on the PlayStation Store and $79.99 on Steam.
How big is Stellar Blade on Switch 2?
Nintendo’s US store page lists 25.3 GB for the Switch 2 version, against the 75 GB of free space Steam asks for on PC. The physical cartridge contains the whole game, so it needs no download to play.
Is Stellar Blade on Switch 2 a game-key card?
No. SHIFT UP says the physical version ships with the entire game data on the cartridge: no game-key card and no additional download required to play.
Does Stellar Blade Switch 2 include the DLC?
Yes. The Complete Edition includes the NieR:Automata and GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE collaboration DLCs plus the Complete Edition cosmetic bonuses, 2,000 SP EXP and 5,000 Gold. The four Bayonetta outfits are a separate free update on 5 November.
Can I transfer my Stellar Blade save from PS5 to Switch 2?
Nothing announced. Neither SHIFT UP’s announcement nor Nintendo’s listing mentions cross-save, cross-progression or an owner discount. On Switch 2, cloud save backup needs a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Stellar Blade Switch 2 file size and cartridge

Stellar Blade — storage needed per platform

Switch 2 (Complete Edition) .... 25.3 GB Nintendo US listing
PC (Steam, min. and rec.) ...... 75 GB Steam system requirements

  Switch 2 internal storage ...... 256 GB
Share of it this game uses .... ~10%

Nintendo’s page data carries the size as a raw byte count, 27,140,292,608 bytes, which Nintendo displays in binary gigabytes as 25.3 GB. That is about a third of the PC install. Part of the difference is lower-resolution assets and console compression, and part is that Steam’s 75 GB is a free-space requirement rather than a download size. Either way, it is a small install by Switch 2 standards. Our Switch 2 storage calculator shows how it fits next to big ports like the 127.7 GB Kingdom Hearts Collection. For anyone buying the cartridge, the more important fact is that it is a full cartridge. Many third-party Switch 2 releases ship as game-key cards that download the game on first boot; this one does not.

What SHIFT UP has not said yet

Three things buyers ask about are still unconfirmed, so we are not guessing at them. First, the frame rate and resolution in docked and handheld mode: neither the announcement nor Nintendo’s listing gives a figure. Second, whether the 25.3 GB figure is final. Nintendo’s page carries both an estimate and a total size, and the two differ by about 0.1 GB, so expect a small change at most. Third, a day-one patch size. We will update this post when the game unlocks on 5 November.

Sources & how we checked this

We checked every price, date, size and feature on 10 October 2026, with each store set to the United States. Nintendo figures come from the US store listing’s page data. PlayStation prices come from the US PlayStation Store product pages. Steam prices and PC requirements come from Steam’s store API for app 3489700. Anything still unannounced, such as Switch 2 performance and cross-save, is marked as unannounced rather than estimated.

How we work is set out in our editorial policy. If you are paying with eShop credit, our guide to redeeming a Nintendo eShop card covers the common errors. Other Switch 2 releases we are tracking: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the same day, 5 November, and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort on 22 October. The Kingdom Hearts Collection is already out.
