Razer Gold is one of the most widely used gaming wallets in the world, with more than 40 million active users topping up for games like Genshin Impact, Mobile Legends, Valorant, PUBG Mobile and Honkai: Star Rail. If you’ve just received a Razer Gold gift card (sometimes sold as a Razer Pin), the very first thing to do is confirm the balance and the region of the code. This guide walks you through three official ways to check your Razer Gold balance, plus what to do if your PIN won’t redeem.
What is a Razer Gold gift card?
A Razer Gold gift card (also sold as a Razer Pin) is a prepaid credit that you redeem into your Razer Gold wallet. Once credited, you can spend it on more than 700 games, in-game items, top-ups for mobile games, and even entertainment services that are integrated with the Razer Gold platform.
- Face values range from USD 5 to USD 1,000 per code.
- Codes are region-locked: a US Razer Pin cannot be redeemed on a Razer Gold account set to Singapore.
- Razer Gold credit does not expire as long as your account is active.
- Razer Gold can be combined with Razer Silver (the loyalty currency) at checkout for additional savings.
Before you start
Before you redeem or check the balance, make sure you have the following ready — it will save you a lot of time if something goes wrong:
- Create or sign in to your Razer IDAll Razer Gold wallets are tied to a Razer ID (a single account that also works for Razer Cortex, Razer Audio and the Razer Store).
- Confirm the region of your accountOnce created, the region cannot be changed without contacting Razer Support, so make sure it matches where you live and the currency you want to use.
- Keep your 16-digit PIN handyThe PIN is printed under the scratch panel on physical cards or sent in plain text for digital codes purchased online.
- Make sure you are on the latest version of the appOlder versions of the Razer Gold app may not show the new wallet UI correctly.
Method 1 — Check your balance in the Razer Gold app
The mobile app is the most reliable way to check your Razer Gold balance because it is updated in real time the moment a top-up is processed. This is also the method we recommend if you are on the go and want to confirm a code before redeeming.
- Open the Razer Gold appAvailable on iOS and Android. Sign in with your Razer ID if you aren’t already.
- Tap the “Wallet” tabYour current Razer Gold credit is displayed in large text at the top, followed by the Razer Silver balance below.
- Tap “Transaction history”To see recent top-ups, including gift card redemptions, scroll to the Transaction history section. Each row shows the date, the value and the source (e.g. “Top-up via Razer Gold PIN”).
- Tap “Reload” to add a new codeIf you’re checking the balance before redeeming, tap Reload, choose “Razer Gold PIN”, enter the 16-digit code and confirm. The new balance appears within seconds.
Method 2 — Check your balance at gold.razer.com
If you prefer using a desktop browser, the official Razer Gold website is the next best option. The website wallet dashboard is identical to the app and is useful when you’re buying something on the web store.
- Go to gold.razer.comUse a modern browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Make sure you are on the official domain — look for the lock icon in the address bar.
- Sign in to your Razer IDClick the profile icon in the top-right corner and sign in with your Razer ID credentials.
- Hover over your profile and select “Wallet”The Wallet page shows your Razer Gold and Razer Silver balances at the top, followed by a transaction history table.
- Use the “Reload” button to redeem a PINClick Reload → Razer Gold → Razer Gold PIN, then enter your code. Your new balance updates in under 5 seconds.
Method 3 — Check your balance in Razer Cortex
Razer Cortex is Razer’s PC game booster, but it doubles as a launcher and wallet. If you game on a Razer laptop or have installed Cortex on Windows, you can also check your Razer Gold balance from there.
- Open Razer Cortex on your Windows PC and sign in.
- Click the wallet icon in the top-right corner.
- Your Razer Gold balance is shown next to the “Reload with PIN” button.
- Click “Transaction History” to see redemptions made through the app, web or Cortex in one place.
Troubleshooting: PIN not working
If your Razer Gold PIN is rejected, the cause is almost always one of the items below. Walk through this list before contacting support:
- Region mismatchThe most common reason a Razer Pin is rejected is a region mismatch. A US code on a Singapore account will be blocked. Switch your account region only with the help of Razer Support.
- Already redeemedIf you got the code from a friend or a bundle, it may have been redeemed already. Check the Transaction history — if you don’t see the credit, the code has likely been used.
- Typos and dashesRazer Gold PINs are 16 alphanumeric characters. Make sure you aren’t including dashes or spaces from the printed card.
- Server maintenanceDuring Razer’s scheduled maintenance (usually announced on the Razer Gold status page), new PIN redemptions can be temporarily paused. Wait 30 minutes and try again.
